Why is it getting worse?

I'd never really spoken to Viridian-san. But by now, I feel that I've spoken to everyone, and even so. . .

Cater-san was my roommate this week. When she found out we were roommates, she said "this place finally heard my complaints." [That means literally nothing, but. It implied she was happy to have him there, even though they were strangers, and that was nice.]
