It was all right. We were in a house, and we could go to the north area. We had a party at the beach, too.

I think. . . any person who cares about you would never want you to have to go through something as awful as murdering them.

It was probably kind to Won, that someone else did it instead.

It wasn't kind to him at all. They basically made a joke of it.

[He understands the man pain, though. But he's not sure Won really cared about any of that.]

Mm. This whole time, I think everyone always thought - what happened to us must have been cruel, and terrible. But where we were, it was just something that happened before we woke up and were able to see everyone. It wasn't. . . as sad as all of that.

It was a bad joke.

[ he shifts. it does ease his pain, to know that the other side was.... harmless. a lot of the same things, without the murder. ]

[ it helps to know, that they weren't suffering. ]

I don't know if I would feel the same way, if it had been me. But I'm glad.

. . . If you'd done that, you would have suffered a lot. That's worse than a joke.

[Even if jokes about dead bodies are also bad.]

Because they went behind my back to make sure I wouldn't be called upon. Because none of my friends thought I could handle it, so they never even told me he was splintering. The teammate who did it lied to my face.

And because... of the way I found out, and saw him, because of the mockery they ended up making....

They should have told you.

[It sounds like a lot of drama, but also, if Zuko expected Emet-Selch to be a nice guy, that seems like a him problem. Mob doesn't think that, though. He legitimately feels bad for him for this.]

. . . I don't think it's bad, if killing him wasn't something you could have done. But it's not right to make that choice for someone else.

[ nah it's all his friends that plotted with emet-selch and covered for him that he's upset with. es is a dick he has no illusions there. ]

... Yeah. I understand wanting to protect people from that. That's the reason I volunteered to do it, I saw how hard it was for... the people who had already been asked. But I wouldn't take away someone's choice.
