If there's a way to resolve a situation without bloodshed, I tend to think that's the best one - so long as you truly manage to win over your opponents. What you did was effective because you didn't lose sight of your own will, and you were able to find a resolution that truly won them over.

I only ask that in the future, maybe let your other comrades know about your safety so they don't worry too much over you while you're gone. You're still young, so many will think you need to be protected just from that.
