I'm trying to do better at understanding people, but sometimes the side people show me is. . . I've been confused this whole time, why so many people had negative views of Kano-san. He was never anything but kind to me, and tried to help.
No one person is the same because we all have different experiences which shape us, but we may relate to each other. How we respond to the others isn't the same.

I think you have a kindness in you that he could respond to. It's a good thing.
If he wanted to be kind to and if he wanted to help you, that should be something to keep with you, but if you have the time, you should also see how people treat others, too.
[He nods, eyes a little wide at how smart her advice is.]
. . . You're right. The way he treats me and the way he treated someone else would have been different. I thought I understood him better than someone who thought he was cruel because I saw his kind side, but both sides were part of who Kano-san was, and I wasn't seeing it all either.
