Most of the time. Sometimes there's one that's more powerful, and it takes more effort. Usually fighting them until they're weaker. Once, I sent my consciousness into the person who was possessed to drive them out.
Makes sense, the stronger ones always need more effort. But what are you doing, exactly, when you point at something? Are you sending your own power out at them?
[Shiro is in a mood, and he's pacing near the bridge. But when Mob shows up, he'll actually try to calm himself down a bit and not be so outwardly angry.]
I don't know if 'cared about' is the right word there, I barely knew the kid. But I know his father and his family, and I feel responsible for him because of that.
People certainly had things to tell me at that confessional. It's a shame though, because if I tell what I was told there, I would be breaking my vows.
week 0; post trial
no subject
Ah, you wanted to know more about demons, yeah?
no subject
I haven't met a kind before that can't be defeated with exorcism. Though my master sometimes uses other techniques. . . [But those do not work.]
no subject
Why don't you tell me about what you do first, yeah? Then I can tell you what I know.
no subject
I work part time at a psychic agency. My master helps people with their spiritual problems. And sometimes, there's an evil spirit, and I exorcise it.
no subject
So how do you do that? Just point at them?

[That sounds right. It's just kind of automatic to him, so it's hard to explain.]
week 1; post-execution

How're you holding up?
no subject
[Looking up at him, considering the question.]
I don't know. All right, I guess.
no subject
I guess 'alright' is good for now, yeah.
You did a good job at the trial, talking to him. You've got a big heart, you know?
no subject
[He appreciates that, but he doesn't know what to say.]
It didn't help, though.
no subject
no subject
So maybe. . . maybe it did help him feel better, at least.
no subject
You'll keep being kind like that, yeah?

Week 2, post-trial
Hey, kid.
no subject
Shiro-san. . . [Just looking at him with his dumb blank face.] I'm sorry.
no subject
It's not your fault. He's the one I'm mad at, not you.
no subject
[Well, now he's a little worried about it??? No, it's fine.]
I'm sorry that something so terrible happened. Someone you care about has been hurt.
no subject
no subject
[That's that word.]
Either way, you wanted to help him, right? Even if you couldn't be sure what really happened.
no subject
...I should've just made everyone think it was me. Then they would've voted me out instead of him.
no subject
It isn't wrong to want to help someone.
no subject
no subject
[Hmm.]
I don't really know Shima-san. But don't you think it was important to him, what you did?
no subject
no subject
[It is. But he does think it probably helped Shima in some way.]
How much did you help him? In the end, it was only at trial?
no subject
no subject
I'm sorry we made you do that.
[We made him solve the whole murder while lying about it!]
no subject
no subject
[He's so nice. It's sad that he would have rather gotten caught than have Shima caught.]
Mm. Shiro-san, it's bad because it's something someone made you say. But. It sounded like you knew something about Cater-san and Sharon-san, too.
no subject
People certainly had things to tell me at that confessional. It's a shame though, because if I tell what I was told there, I would be breaking my vows.
no subject
[Well, if that's how it is, he's not going to push him on it?]
The fact that they told you. . . a lot of people must really trust you!
