A girl was possessed by an evil spirit. I sent my consciousness inside her to get it out, but I wound up getting trapped there for a while. I remember most of it, but I don't remember how I got out.
. . . I'm not sure I mind forgetting that, though.
Spirits use their abilities the same way we do, I think. Once I saw a spirit who was controlling plants to make a giant vine monster. It was sending its energy into the cells of the plant. I thought, maybe I could do that, too, so I did, and now I know how to control plants, too.
Like that? You mean copying a spirit? I don't know about that, but - usually when I meet another ESPer with different abilities, I can do those as well if I try.
It's perfectly okay. But... hmm. I guess you could say that recently, I realized they're an important part of me, too. I could certainly live on without them—but having them makes me who I am.
[she gifts shigeo a smile, soft and understanding. she's been there.]
I'm from a place called Arendelle. It's a country far to the North.

I forgot my mother's lullaby.

. . . I'm sorry.

What did you forget?

That's fair enough.
Is that the sort of thing you can normally do? It sounds incredible.
no subject
[So no, not normally. But it is something he simply did the first time he ever considered doing it.]
no subject
huh.]
So, you just saw the spirits do it, and... tried to do it too? And then you could?
That's... amazing. [is it? possible?? for her???]
no subject
[He seems skeptical.]

So I thought maybe this was the same.
no subject
Can you tell me other times you've done things like that? Like the plants, or the spirit who was in someone else.
no subject
Like that? You mean copying a spirit? I don't know about that, but - usually when I meet another ESPer with different abilities, I can do those as well if I try.

...Anyone you meet with powers, you're able to mimic them? Immediately?
no subject
[But everyone he's tried, yes.]
no subject
[talk about a bridge between this world and the next. she's just genuinely incredibly curious.]
I know you said your powers are... that they don't mean anything, but what you're talking about is... well, wonderful.
...I wonder if you could do it with me.
no subject
[He stops and thinks for a second.]
Mm. I think so.
no subject
[how nice. to have powers and family support. what a special boy.]
It's a shame I can't show you where I'm from. I think you'd like it there.
no subject
[He can't say he misses them.]
Where are you from?
no subject
[she gifts shigeo a smile, soft and understanding. she's been there.]
I'm from a place called Arendelle. It's a country far to the North.
no subject
I haven't heard of that. I'm from Japan.
no subject
Do you like it? It seems like a number of people there have special powers, huh?

[finish your sentences, japan.]

Many of them have tried to kidnap me or my family so that we'll join their organization to take over the world.
[So. Awkward.]
But also, it seems that every time I meet a new ESPer, they always want to fight me to prove they're stronger. And I don't like fighting.
no subject
Kidnap you? Fight you!?
What kind of...? Why? Do they think you'll be more open to the idea of world domination if you...!?
[she's at a loss to how stupid that is. you catch more flies with honey than vinegar!!!]
no subject
I'm not interested in something like that at all. It's very irritating.
no subject
Have you had any luck telling them you don't want to be a part of it?
