From what I understand - our actions in our emotional ordeals were reflected in the actual physical monsters that Ochako and Archer were fighting. Therefore when the two of them won against their monsters, the wounds were then inflicted on Xie Lian and I.
However they gave us a serum to revive us - which made us murderous. The two of them were forced to kill us in order to get us to stop.

Normally, I would do what it takes to survive - I have my own goals and ambitions. But... if I do not have my humanity or my compassion, I do not think I am myself anymore.
So I didn't blame them for getting rid of me. Even still, it doesn't make the choice any less difficult.
But depending on what someone's goals are - they don't need to trample on other people in order to reach them. I find that harmony between varying opinions is often difficult, but worth it.
But it's alright! Because I'm alive now, so I won't have to.
I just want to ensure that everyone else is careful - it was a difficult ordeal, and it's hard to be prepared for it. I don't want anyone's hearts or bodies to get broken from an unexpected experience.
