[well, that's great news, because Elsa is also outside, in the plaza, seated primly on a bench, writing away in her journal. she seems pretty focused, so she doesn't actually notice him right away.]
Everything I can remember—starting at the very beginning.
Right now, I'm writing about Anna and I, playing when we were children. [well, actually, she just kind of wrapped that part up. the next part is going to be a bit trickier to put into words on paper.]
A girl was possessed by an evil spirit. I sent my consciousness inside her to get it out, but I wound up getting trapped there for a while. I remember most of it, but I don't remember how I got out.
. . . I'm not sure I mind forgetting that, though.
Spirits use their abilities the same way we do, I think. Once I saw a spirit who was controlling plants to make a giant vine monster. It was sending its energy into the cells of the plant. I thought, maybe I could do that, too, so I did, and now I know how to control plants, too.
Like that? You mean copying a spirit? I don't know about that, but - usually when I meet another ESPer with different abilities, I can do those as well if I try.

. . . No, he is a little curious, so he sort of awkwardly hangs around nearby.]

Hello, Shigeo.
Would you like to join me?
no subject
What are you writing?
no subject
I thought... maybe if I forget them, I can look at what I wrote. I don't know if it will work or not, but... it's worth a try, don't you think?
no subject
[He didn't even consider that.]
What kind of memories?

Right now, I'm writing about Anna and I, playing when we were children. [well, actually, she just kind of wrapped that part up. the next part is going to be a bit trickier to put into words on paper.]

I didn't realize what I forgot until I was talking to somebody.
no subject
It's probably... not a perfect method. Do you know what you forgot?
no subject
[Not elaborating, really? Hmm.]
Something happened, but I forgot the part that happened after.
no subject
I forgot my mother's lullaby.
no subject
. . . I'm sorry.
no subject
What did you forget?

A girl was possessed by an evil spirit. I sent my consciousness inside her to get it out, but I wound up getting trapped there for a while. I remember most of it, but I don't remember how I got out.

That's fair enough.
Is that the sort of thing you can normally do? It sounds incredible.
no subject
[So no, not normally. But it is something he simply did the first time he ever considered doing it.]
no subject
huh.]
So, you just saw the spirits do it, and... tried to do it too? And then you could?
That's... amazing. [is it? possible?? for her???]
no subject
[He seems skeptical.]
Spirits use their abilities the same way we do, I think. Once I saw a spirit who was controlling plants to make a giant vine monster. It was sending its energy into the cells of the plant. I thought, maybe I could do that, too, so I did, and now I know how to control plants, too.
So I thought maybe this was the same.
no subject
Can you tell me other times you've done things like that? Like the plants, or the spirit who was in someone else.
no subject
Like that? You mean copying a spirit? I don't know about that, but - usually when I meet another ESPer with different abilities, I can do those as well if I try.
no subject
...Anyone you meet with powers, you're able to mimic them? Immediately?
no subject
[But everyone he's tried, yes.]
no subject
[talk about a bridge between this world and the next. she's just genuinely incredibly curious.]
I know you said your powers are... that they don't mean anything, but what you're talking about is... well, wonderful.
...I wonder if you could do it with me.
no subject
[He stops and thinks for a second.]
Mm. I think so.
